Structural inequities have caused challenges in creating and fostering inclusive environments that support people to thrive in their communities and careers. Interrogating Workplace Culture will build upon the understanding of how prejudiced thoughts impact how talent is recruited, how services are marketed, and how community voice is valued. When one is confined to a single culture, we lose out on the ability to strategically enhance brand equity, product offerings, and community impact to thrive as businesses. In this session, participants will integrate certain practices or policies that companies have been conditioned to use (i.e., hiring, onboarding, technical skills) that often overlooks who gets a seat at the table.
This discussion will be led by the Women’s Business League’s Diversity and Inclusion Champion, Jessica Sanon. As an entrepreneur, Jessica is passionate about supporting and building economic mobility and capacity for marginalized communities.
