Andrea Ardito | NEST

Tell us about YOU!!  My name is Andrea Ardito, I live in Portsmouth NH where I soak in all the history & charm of this sweet city. I own NEST, a vintage and antique shop that I joyfully curate with travels all over New England, Canada & Europe. I only source things that bring immense happiness, comfort and inspiration. I carry furniture, lighting, art, home decor, resale fashion, jewelry and garden whimsy. I just celebrated my 7th shop anniversary and I love what I do!

What makes you different/stand out in your industry? I am passionate about curating the most unique finds & goods that become the favorite pieces for my customers. Each item has a story and a wonderful energy, whether it is a dress from France or a most delightful Maine cottage table. Happiness is contagious and I love when my customers get as excited as I do over a find!

What do your clients love about you?  I’m told that when my customers come into NEST they feel loved and welcomed. I am honored when my customers share their lives with me; when I am able to help them smile that day, when I’m able to make a difference in bringing comfort and connection into their home. To be part of a special secret gift surprise or a meaningful memory means the world to me. It is incredibly rewarding and I am humbled and grateful.

What is the best advice you can share with others?Find your people. Surround yourself with those in your community that cheer you on and wipe away your tears on the hard days. It’s literally everything. We tend to be disconnected these days. I say connect, collaborate, listen and show up for those around you that matter. And speaking of matter- remember: in this ever hardened landscape know that you are a sparkly unicorn. Also know you aren’t a jar of Nutella, not everyone is going to like you. That’s OK. You just keep being you!

How has the Women’s Business League helped you?  I am a new member of WBL and I have been overwhelmed at the vibrant, innovative and kind community this is. I feel like I have been starving and I didn’t even realize it. I am so grateful to be meeting and engaging with these incredible women!
