Tell us about YOU!!  I’m the founder of XAct Accounting Services, LLC. I help small business owners/entrepreneurs set up their books as well as make sense of their numbers so they can make confident, informed decisions. I focus on holistic accounting not just bookkeeping and tax prep but really partnering with clients to understand their finances and grow their businesses. Soon, I will also be launching my podcast “The Cynical CPA”, where I’ll have real conversations about accounting, taxes, and everything in between with a little humor, a little edge, and a lot of honesty.

What makes you different/stand out in your industry?  What sets me apart is my blend of technical expertise and real-world approach. I’m not just here to reconcile bank statements and file returns. I partner with my clients to help them truly understand their numbers and make smart, strategic decisions. I bring a holistic perspective to accounting, where we look beyond the spreadsheets and talk about what’s really going on in the business. I do this with a down-to-earth style that clients really appreciate. I meet them where they are, explain things clearly, and make accounting and tax feel a little less overwhelming and sometimes even fun.

What do your clients love about you?  My clients tell me they love that I actually care and that I’m responsive, I listen, and I don’t just throw numbers at them. I explain accounting and tax in a way that makes sense, without all the jargon, and I’m not afraid to be honest when something isn’t working. They also appreciate my mix of professionalism and realness. I’m approachable, but I don’t sugarcoat. I give them clarity, peace of mind, and the confidence to make smart decisions in their business.

What is the best advice you can share with others? The best advice I can share is not to wait until things are perfect to take action especially in business. Whether it’s your finances, your systems, or your marketing progress beats perfection every time. Get the support you need, stay curious, and be willing to have the uncomfortable conversations. That’s where growth really happens whether it’s in your business or in yourself.

How has the Women’s Business League helped you?  The Women’s Business League has been a game-changer for me. It’s more than just networking, it’s a true community of women who show up, support each other, and genuinely want to see each other win. I’ve built real relationships, gained new clients, and grown personally and professionally. Being part of WBL has helped me feel more connected, more confident, and more aligned with my purpose as a business owner.
