Tell us about YOU!! I have over 20+ years experience in Human Resources & my Master’s Degree is in Management specializing in Human Resources. I have worked with many people over the years and I truly enjoy meeting & talking to people. In my past roles, I have always had a position where I was consistently presenting or talking or networking with others. My true passion is working with people. When we were thinking of owning our own business, we wanted to find one that supported people & helped them. We believed there was a need for a Handyman business and one that helped with all the small jobs that we never had time to do ourselves. At that time, I was pregnant with twins and we needed flexibility in our business. Mr. Handyman has given us opportunities to help others in their homes, their workplace, volunteer at our children’s schools, events & so much more. Mr. Handyman is a Franchise and we were drawn to the Neighborly Code of Values. Treat others as they would like to be treated, Communicating honestly & with purpose, Customer Focus and continuing to strive to maximize internal & external customer loyalty and Having fun in the process. Mr. Handyman is a Neighborly company, it’s the largest in home service provider. We are licensed contractors, been in business 17+ years. We are locally owned, family owned & operated. All of our technicians are bonded, background checked & we are fully insured. Our technicians have over 10+years in the trades. We do all types of carpentry jobs, it could be anything from as small as putting in a A/C unit in a window, to installing Storm Doors to a full Bathroom Remodel. We are also Certified Aging In Place Specialists so we are able to put in grab bars, shower bars etc.

What makes you different/stand out in your industry?  The one thing that makes our company stand out is that we answer our phones & call people back if we are on the phone. 

What do your clients love about you?  Our customers say they “love our professionalism” & “quick to respond”. “We always pick up our phones” or call people back if they leave us a message.

What is the best advice you can share with others?  When you are hiring a Handyman or a Contractor, make sure they are licensed & fully insured. Ask them how long have they been in business? Are they a referral or just pulled off the internet. Do they have a website and do they have “real” reviews. There are so many people out there that will take advantage of your good nature.

How has the Women’s Business League helped you?  The Women’s Business League has helped me meet so many women in different fields. We all come together to support one another & I have felt that I am a part of something bigger than my everyday. I have met a lot of women in different fields who just want to be their for each other & we help support one another.
