Tell us about YOU!!    Hi everyone!!! My name is Melanie Krupa, a financial services professional at The Moody Street Group right off of Moody Street. I help families and individuals with their personal finances by providing guidance on budgeting, saving, and protecting their financial future. What makes you different/stand out in your industry?  What sets me apart in the financial services industry is my uncommon background in Public Policy and (partially) Actuarial Science. While I initially thought I’d build a career in the nonprofit sector, I found my true calling in finance—where I can combine my analytical skills with my passion for helping others. My role allows me to bridge the gap between numbers and real-life impact, making financial strategies approachable and tailored to each individual’s needs. At the core of my work is a genuine drive to empower people, not just with financial knowledge, but with a clear path toward a secure and confident future.

What do your clients love about you?  My clients love that I make finance approachable and easy to understand, helping them feel confident in their decisions. They appreciate my genuine passion for guiding them toward financial security, as well as my personalized approach to their unique goals. With a background in both public policy and finance, I bring a well-rounded perspective that blends technical experience with a deep commitment to helping others. Most importantly, they trust me to provide honest, transparent guidance and ongoing support every step of the way.

How has the Women’s Business League helped you?    WBL has really been a support system for me, especially since I felt like I was starting from scratch in my career (as all financial services people do) and I didn’t really know where to start when it came to networking or building connections. WBL has given me a community of inspiring, like-minded professionals who have not only shared their knowledge and experiences but have also encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. Through this network, I’ve gained valuable mentorship, built meaningful relationships, and developed the confidence to grow both personally and professionally. The support and resources I’ve found here have been instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges of the industry and find my own path to success.
