Love Letter Confections — Beverly, MA
Tell us about YOU!!
I’m Samantha Laverdiere, a chocolatier, storyteller, and founder of Love Letter Confections. I make small-batch, handcrafted chocolates inspired by words, feelings, and moments worth celebrating. I started my business during a season of big change-new motherhood, a breast cancer diagnosis, and a lot of figuring-it-out-and turned creativity into both a livelihood and a lifeline. Now I create pop-ups, custom collaborations, and community-centered experiences that bring people together over really good chocolate.
What makes you different/stand out in your industry?
I lead with the story. Every collection begins with a feeling or a line of text, and the chocolate follows. My work is equal parts craft, creativity, and connection-and I love building things that feel personal, intentional, and just a little unexpected.
What do your clients love about you?
Clients say everything feels thoughtful, easy, and genuinely fun. They love the care behind the details, the collaborative process, and that I can take a vague idea and turn it into something meaningful (and delicious). Bonus: I’m calm under pressure and great at last-minute magic.
What is the best advice you can share with others?
Start before you’re ready. Do it tired. Do it scared. Do it imperfectly. Momentum beats confidence every time-and you can always refine once you’re moving.
How has the Women’s Business League helped you?
Even in just a few weeks, WBL has already made the world of entrepreneurship feel a lot smaller. I’ve felt welcomed, supported, and quickly connected to women who are generous with their knowledge, referrals, and encouragement. It’s been a great reminder that you don’t have to build alone.
