Abby Fitzgerald | Owner of Fitz Haus Interior Design

Tell us about YOU!!   My name is Abby Fitzgerald and I just left my corporate job to open my own business and pursue my passion for interior design. I am starting with residential clients in the Central Pennsylvania region and each job has been an exciting new adventure! I am also a wife and mom of 3 fantastic little people and I am so proud to be blazing my own trail, opening a business and showing my children what can be accomplished when you work hard and have faith in yourself.

What makes you different/stand out in your industry?  I am unique in my industry because of my personality! I think interior design should be FUN and not taken too seriously. It should be an organic process of uncovering what you’re drawn to and then finding ways to pull that through in your home. This creates a home that radiates joy and personality. And I don’t know a lot of designers with a perspective quite like mine.

What do your clients love about you?  I would say my clients love working with me because I am easy to talk to, and I am an over-communicator. I am a type-A creative, meaning I have implemented multiple processes and systems in my business that make life easier for myself and my clients. It makes the whole process more fun, less stressful and everyone knows what to expect.

What is the best advice you can share with others?  My best advice is that it’s never too late to pursue your passion. After years of living the way I felt I “should,” I finally took a leap of faith, jumping right off the proverbial cliff and I’m still building my wings on the way down. This is the joy that is LIFE. Find that passion and try to live it everyday.

How has the Women’s Business League helped you?  From the first meeting with the WBL Capital Region members I felt a kinship. A passion that this goes far beyond a networking group to a powerful collaboration of strong, hard-working women who want to build one another up. I feel I can learn so much from them and I am excited to share my knowledge in hopes it can help them on their journey. I’m excited to have found these women and know I will grow each time we have the opportunity to be together.
