Tell us about YOU!! I am a wife, mom to two sweet kiddos, have two cats, six chickens and am also a team owner. I have been helping buyers and sellers with their residential real estate goals for ten years! When I was 15 years old, I was “helping” the Realtor with the sale of my grandfather’s home, telling her all about it and why it’s so special. I realized my love for the home selling process right then and there and decided that being a real estate agent is what I was meant to do. By 19 years old I was licensed and within 2 months, sold my first home! My specialty is as a listing specialist. I am experienced with divorce, estates, as well as clients looking to upsize. I have been awarded for my sales achievements every year for ten years, but my favorite awards I have gotten have been “Mentor of the Year” and ” Open Doors Coaching Award.” Being a mentor and having a team has been such an honor! My titles, certifications and designations are Associate Broker, Accredited Buyers Representative®, Accredited Staging Professional®, Mentor, Notary Public, Pricing Strategy Advisor, Real Estate Negotiation Expert, Realtor®, Short Sale Foreclosure Resource®, and Seller Representative Specialist. What makes you different/stand out in your industry? What makes me stand out in my industry is my education style. So many times I have seen and heard other real estate agents expecting their clients to understand the process and never sit down to properly explain. Many buyers and sellers get frustrated when something comes up that they weren’t prepared for, or they don’t even really understand what they are committing to. That is sad considering real estate is the biggest investment people make! Whether I am working with a buyer or a seller, I sit down for a consultation to discuss their needs as well as I have a slideshow that goes through the entire process from start to finish. I find my clients are much more confident when they see what they’re going to be doing before they officially jump in to start. My education does not stop there though. I make sure to thoroughly explain every step of the way throughout the process as well.
What do your clients love about you? My clients love my passion, my knowledge and my communication. Also that I can make light of situations and make the process fun! I always have my clients best interest at heart, and I am told that it does not go unnoticed which is really nice to hear.
What is the best advice you can share with others? If you are held back by trying to make everything perfect, start by moving towards the goal with small steps. Something is always better than nothing. To wait until something is perfect before you pursue it, means you will never do it or it will never happen.
How has the Women’s Business League helped you? Women’s Business League has helped me to realize that networking is not a bad word! I never had much luck with networking in the past (even though I had tried multiple times in different environments) but since joining WBL my whole outlook has changed. I feel so much more connected to other women business owners and that is such an awesome feeling!
