Tell us about YOU!! (Who are you & What do you do?) Hi! My name is Sarah Goyette and I am the Commercial Lines Manager and now Operations Manager at Leslie Ray Insurance in Beverly. I am also a mom of a 4 year old girl, a wife and a fur mom. My specific job duties are to run the Commercial Lines Department and make sure all of our customers with business needs get the help they need and deserve! I myself am in the for front of assisting customers on a day to day basis with whatever their needs in. My new additional position will be working with operations and processes amongst all the departments. Leslie Ray Insurance has been a great place to work and we are lucky to have such an amazing staff! We all pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service. Our agency has the ability to assist with personal, commercial, and now life and health insurance needs! In addition to the above, I also sit on the board of directors at a local nonprofit- The Beverly Children’s Learning Center which is a great organization right down the street from my office. I love being able to contribute and being a mother makes it so near and dear to my heart how much love and care this facility puts into child education and enrichment!
What makes you different/stand out in your industry? I think what makes me stand out is that I truly cherish the relationship-building aspect of working with my clients. I enjoy helping protect their families and assets and I take that very seriously. To me, it’s not about “making a sale”. I want people to understand what their risks are with what they do but also understand the coverage they are buying. So many people pay premiums but don’t understand what they are paying for. Our agency as a whole takes the same approach and enjoy being a family owned , hands on agency for our customers!
What do your clients love about you? I think they appreciate that I go above and beyond to help them and make sure I am available for whatever it is that they need. Anything from billing to claims etc!
What is the best advice you can share with others? The best advice I can give is to find a job you love and are passionate about! It’s life changing! So many people are unhappy with their work or just the environment and I promise everyone there are great places to work out there. Don’t give up!
How has the Women’s Business League helped you? Where do I start…..so many things! First off, being someone with social anxiety in large groups, I really had to push myself out of my comfort zone to even go to the first meeting. However, let me tell you, it was NOT as hard as I had imagined because the WBL group ladies are the most supportive, caring and lovely group of women I have ever met that I felt instantly comfortable. It’s amazing how much support is in those meeting rooms! Magical! I haven’t been a member for long but it’s been the best decision I made this year. Not only do I get to know a bunch of amazing women, but it’s also made me more comfortable and confident in my own skin!
